Our client, one of Canada's largest private consulting engineering firms, has a network of 15 offices. Their teams work together on projects that shape tomorrow's industry, locally, nationally and internationally. The company, which has over 1600 non-unionized employees in various provinces, is looking to fill a Payroll Technician position on its payroll team of 5 professionals.

Main responsibilities :

• Perform bi-weekly payroll data entry : process hirings, departures and other changes related to employment conditions
• Ensure weekly timesheet processing and support operations in ERP submission
• Ensure salary increases' payment and make retroactive payments as required
• Provide customer service to employees regarding payroll questions
• Ensure RRSP/DPSP follow-up
• Participate in year-end activities and external audits

Profile required :

• One to three years' experience in payroll
• Good written communication skills
• Ability to communicate in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software
• Asset : knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and ERP Maconomy from Deltek
