Our client is one of North America's leading risk management, insurance brokerage and employee benefits consulting firms. The company employs more than 1,400 professionals across Canada. The payroll system used is UKG Pro.

Main responsibilities
  • Complete payroll cycle activities, preparation, verification and submission for approximately 500 non-unionized employees across Canada.
  • Make changes to employee files (create new employees, adjust salaries, add/modify taxable benefits and/or miscellaneous deductions, terminations, Record of Employment, etc.).
  • Provide necessary explanations to staff on various deductions or other payroll requirements.
  • Coordinate alimony remittances, foreclosures, etc.
  • Prepare journal entries and issue various monthly and ad hoc reports.
  • Perform certain manual remittances to various levels of government.
  • Actively participate in year-end tasks.
  • Analyze and account for group insurance invoices.
  • Support the Payroll Manager in her duties.
Profile required
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in payroll management
  • DEC in administration or other relevant training
  • Certification from the National Payroll Institute (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel)
  • Bilingualism French/English required and good communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Thoroughness and rigor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Organizational skills and good time management
