Our client is Canada's largest provider of third party logistics services. The Canadian company, established 40 years ago manages more than twelve million square feet of warehousing space in North America and Europe and has a transport fleet. The organization is looking for a Payroll Supervisor to take the lead of it's payroll team composed of 2 people who operate the payroll of approximately 3,600 employees, distributed in 19 pay groups, 7 provinces and 7 US pay groups. The payroll systems used is Ceridian Dayforce.
The Payroll Supervisor will work closely with the Corporate Payroll Manager to deliver excellence in all aspects of payroll, including data entry, verifying payroll entries, and registering for payroll. social advantages.

Main responsibilities :
- Manage and lead payroll team members, overseeing day-to-day tasks;
- Coordinate and process payroll in a timely manner ensuring the integrity of payroll data;
- Implement, maintain and review data processing systems for payroll transactions;
- Ensure that all payrolls are validated before final submission for processing;
- Report potential service issues to the payroll manager;
- Manage payroll garnishments, ensure deductions are calculated correctly and complete processing accurately;
- Reconcile group insurance benefits;
- Complete statistical reports, statements and summaries related to payroll and benefits accounts and submit them to the appropriate departments;
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to year-end processing;
- Support internal and external audits;
- Provide payroll assistance and information to unionized and non-unionized employees;
- Act as a temporary replacement during vacations;
- Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate resolutions;
- Knowledge of legislation and payroll procedure relating to international countries: US, UK, Germany.
Profile required :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (full pay cycle)
- Advanced knowledge of Ceridian HRIS Dayforce (an asset)
- Payroll processing experience in Canada and the United States is a significant asset
- Excellent knowledge of rules and regulations regarding payroll standards in North America
- Title from the Canadian Payroll Institute (an asset)
- Perfectly bilingual in English and French, written and spoken
- Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel
- Effective leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of demanding projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Ability to work independently in an environment where time is limited
- Very discreet when dealing with sensitive employee payroll issues
- Reliable, organized, adapts quickly to change and delivers under pressure
