Our client, a well-known hotel chain, is one of the 50 best managed companies in Canada. Reporting to the VP Teams & Culture and in collaboration with the Accounting Department, the Payroll Technician is responsible for the complete payroll processing for different provinces. The team currently consists of 3 payroll technicians. The payroll system used is UKG.
The position can be located in Quebec City or Montreal (Peel metro station nearby).

Main responsibilities :
- Compliance of information related to employee files (openings, updates...)
- Validation, import and processing of various data (hours worked, vacation, holidays, training, overtime, illness, tips, etc.) and ensuring their integrity in the payroll system, which may include data entry.
- Compliance with end-of-employment steps, including electronic transmission of records of employment
- Compliance with provincial labor standards
- Compliance with various collective agreements
- Production of manual and/or periodic requisitions for source deductions and payroll taxes
- Production of various payroll reports, including applicable subsidies
- Quality customer service to managers and employees regarding payroll, group RRSPs, etc.
Profile required :
- More than 2 years' relevant payroll experience
- Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of UKG (an asset)
- Ability to handle several files at once, attention to priorities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Discretion, rigor and analytical skills
- Autonomy, initiative and discipline
