With over 1600 non-unionized employees in various provinces, the company is looking to fill a payroll technician position on its payroll team of 5 professionals.

This position represents an opportunity for a junior payroll technician wishing to develop in his/her field within a large organization. The Payroll Technician will not operate the full payroll cycle.

Main responsibilities :

• Perform bi-weekly payroll data entry : process hirings, departures and other changes related to employment conditions.
• Ensure weekly timesheet processing and support operations in ERP submission.
• Ensure salary increases' payment and make retroactive payments as required.
• Provide customer service to employees for payroll-related questions.
• Ensure follow-up of RRSP/DPSP.
• Participate in year-end activities and external audit.

Profile required :

• One to three years' experience in payroll
• Good written communication skills
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software
• Assets : knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Deltek's ERP Maconomy
