Our client is an outsourcing solutions provider serving Canadian stevedoring companies of all sizes. The organization manages the payroll of some 3,500 employees and applies 30 collective agreements through offices located in Montreal, Hamilton and Halifax. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Payroll Analyst is responsible for analyzing and validating the payroll system functional requirements. He/she is an important link between the company's payroll department and the SAP support provider.

Main responsibilities :

• Be able to run the complete payroll cycle in test mode
• Participate in the definition and documentation of business processes
• Analyze new projects and customer requests to develop recommendations
• Document business requirements for various change requests
• Design test scenarios, execute them and demonstrate results' relevance, in order to validate the chosen solutions
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and actively participate in knowledge sharing with team members
• Provide user support for SAP solutions
• Supervise weekly payroll production
• Produce year-end legal documents (T4/REL1 slips, etc.)
• Follow-up on collective agreements.

Profile required :

• Min. 3 years' experience in full-cycle payroll operations
• Min. 3 years' experience with SAP Payroll module implementation and/or support
• Knowledge of payroll in a unionized environment
• Combination of education and experience in a related field
• NPI certification (an asset)
• French/English bilingualism, both spoken and written
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
