Your mission :

Our Payroll Specialist will have mandates to complete with different clients, all related to payroll but which responsibilities will vary from one mandate to another. Our specialists are supported by an experienced team of professionals.

What we are looking for :

  • Minimum 3 years experience in full payroll cycle operation, high volume (200 employees and over)
  • Payroll management experience in different Canadian provinces (rules and standards knowledge)
  • Work experience in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of US payroll (an asset)
  • Hands-on experience with more than one payroll software (Dayforce ADP WFN, UKG, Workday, Employeur D, Nethris...)
  • DEC in administration or accounting (an asset)
  • P.C.P. Certification of the Canadian Payroll Institute (an asset)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel : pivot table and V lookup)
  • Bilingualism both oral and written (French / English)
  • Skilled in communication, provides excellent customer service
  • Adaptability, resourcefulness, autonomy, analytical skills, teamwork

Your responsibilities will be :

  • Processing the complete payroll cycle of different organizations
  • Performing monthly remittance and third party payment activities
  • Managing employee benefits, if required by clients
  • Generating, verifying and validating payroll reports
  • Collaborating with the human resources department of clients under its responsibilities in order to check the forms and documents necessary for the administration of plans such as: CNESST, unemployment insurance and group insurance
  • Monitoring and complying with the various laws affecting payroll management (labor standards, taxes, etc.)
  • Ensuring that processes and data entries are consistent with Canadian legislation, internal client policies and collective agreements, if applicable
  • Participating in the monthly and annual fiscal year closing (journal entries, accounts reconciliation,...), if required
  • Balancing and producing T4 and Relevé 1, if required
  • Acting as a payroll resource for clients' employees
